  • Grit SS - Fully Integrated Gravel

    Size
    Build Kit

    One bike. Fast everywhere.

The Grit SS is Bossi’s high-performance titanium gravel bike for riders who want road speed, gravel capability, and practical utility in one platform.

Fast in road trim, composed off-road, and fully equipped for long mixed-surface rides, it is built for riders who want one bike to cover more of their riding.

    KEY FEATURES

The Grit SS is built for riders who want a faster, more focused gravel bike for mixed-surface riding. Its aerodynamically optimised frame helps it hold speed efficiently on the road, while the deeper tube profiles provide the stiffness needed for direct power transfer under load. Paired with purposeful gravel geometry, it gives the bike a fast, controlled character across dirt, hardpack and rougher roads.

The Grit SS features a long wheelbase and a balanced front-end geometry to create confident and stable handling on loose and unpredictable surfaces. A higher stack results in a more balanced riding position, with better visibility and more even weight distribution across the bike. Up front, a 50mm fork offset reduces trail to maintain sharp and accurate steering without becoming nervous. The bottom bracket drop is set to balance ground clearance with a lower centre of gravity, helping the bike feel planted without impeding its off-road capability.

Fully integrated cable routing, 3D-printed UDH dropouts, a T47 bottom bracket, clearance for modern high-volume tyres, and a 27.2mm seatpost give the Grit SS the standards and compatibility expected of a contemporary gravel platform. The result is a cleaner bike, broad component choice, support for suspension and dropper posts, and long-term relevance as gravel setups continue to evolve.

The Grit SS is designed to support a wide range of configurations. It can be set up for fast gravel and all-road riding, while still carrying the mounting provision needed for longer rides and bikepacking use. Rack and mudguard mounts, triple mounts on the fork, and compatibility with both one-piece and two-piece cockpit systems give the platform genuine flexibility, with details like integrated computer mounting helping complete a clean and highly functional front end.

The Grit SS combines 3D-printed titanium junctions, hydroformed tube profiles and linished welds to create a frame with a level of shaping freedom and refinement not possible through more conventional construction. Those processes allow the bike to carry aerodynamic forms and deeper profiles for improved speed and stiffness, while also giving the frame its clean, highly resolved appearance. Beneath that more advanced structure, titanium remains the material solution to gravel’s real demands: durability, corrosion resistance, vibration damping and the kind of ride quality that helps reduce chatter and fatigue over rougher surfaces and longer distances.

    DESIGN BRIEF

Fast. Direct. Sculpted. Integrated. Durable. Versatile. Purposeful.

The Grit SS was developed as a high-performance titanium platform for road, all-road, and gravel use.

Gravel bikes have become faster, more integrated, and more road-influenced. The opportunity was to create a titanium frame that could carry speed on sealed roads and hardpack while retaining the clearance, durability, mounting points, and ride quality required for serious gravel riding.

The design objective was to support two distinct setups from the same frame. With gravel wheels and larger tyres, the Grit SS prioritises stability, traction, damping, and control across dirt, hardpack, and broken roads. With road wheels and deeper rims, the frame takes on a sharper all-road character, supported by aero-profiled tubing, integrated routing, and increased frame stiffness.

Hydroformed titanium tubes allow deeper, more directional profiles through the front triangle, improving stiffness and supporting aerodynamic forms. 3D-printed titanium junctions create cleaner structural transitions between the head tube, down tube, yoke, and dropouts. These parts carry the integration, internal routing, UDH compatibility, and tyre clearance in a more resolved structure.

The utility was retained deliberately. Generous tyre clearance, practical mounting points, T47, UDH, and titanium durability allow the Grit SS to be built for fast all-road riding, gravel, longer mixed-surface routes, or loaded setups without narrowing the frame to one use case.

The result is Bossi’s most complete road-and-gravel platform: fast in road trim, stable off-road, practical for longer rides, and durable for long-term use. It is the closest Bossi gets to a true one-bike platform.

    HOW IT RIDES

The Grit SS is a high-performance gravel and all-road platform designed to cover road and gravel with equal intent. In road trim, it rewards speed, efficient power delivery, and fast changes in pace. In gravel trim, it prioritises stability, control, and durability across hardpack, broken roads, and longer mixed-surface routes.

The fit is road-influenced without becoming overly aggressive for off-road use. A balanced stack and reach place the rider in a performance position that supports power transfer, visibility, and upper-body control over uneven terrain. The position is efficient for sealed-road riding, while remaining stable and manageable when the bike is fitted with larger tyres or ridden over rougher surfaces.

The handling geometry is central to the Grit SS brief. A 71.2° head tube angle and long front-centre reduce toe overlap, improve stability with larger tyres, and support confident handling at speed. With high-volume gravel tyres, trail sits in a stable gravel range for control on dirt and broken surfaces. With narrower road tyres and deeper road wheels, trail reduces and the bike takes on a sharper all-road character. The 76 mm bottom bracket drop lowers centre of gravity for cornering stability, while the long rear-centre supports tyre clearance, traction, and loaded utility without dulling response under power.

The frame construction sharpens the ride compared with a conventional round-tube gravel frame. Hydroformed aero profiles and 3D-printed titanium junctions improve stiffness through the front triangle, head tube, and bottom bracket areas, increasing precision under load and helping the bike hold speed in road trim. Titanium’s damping remains central to the ride quality, managing vibration and repeated impacts so the bike feels controlled off-road and less fatiguing over distance.

Bossi frames are offered in sizes 50, 52, 54, 56, 58 and 60. The right size for you will depend on more than height alone, including your proportions, flexibility, riding style and fit preferences.

    As a general guide:

50 suits smaller riders, typically around 160–168 cm

52 suits riders around 168–173 cm

54 suits riders around 173–178 cm

56 suits riders around 178–183 cm

58 suits riders around 183–188 cm

60 suits taller riders, typically around 188–196 cm

These height ranges are approximate only. Some riders may fall between sizes depending on leg length, torso length, arm length, mobility and desired riding position.

If you are between sizes, the best option will depend on how you want the bike to fit and feel. A smaller size may offer a slightly more compact and responsive fit, while a larger size may provide a little more reach and stack.

If you are unsure which size is right for you, we recommend getting in touch before ordering. We are happy to review your current bike fit, body dimensions and intended use to help guide you into the right size.
